CROSS-COUNTRY PLACES 13TH & 16TH IN SJLI INVITATIONAL

Patchogue, NY - The College of Staten Island Cross-Country team participated in their final meet ahead of next week's ECC Championship earlier today as they took part in the SJLI Invitational. The CSI men competed as a team in the 8K event placing 16^th in the field of 26. Five CSI women competed in the 5K event and placed 13^th in the field of 23 teams.

Wayne Stephenson continued his impressive first season as a Dolphins with a 23^rd place finish to lead all CSI runners. Ethanael Elliott, Matthew Amato, Alan Bass and Jamel Reynolds rounded out the five-runner squad for the CSI men. As a team, the Dolphins averaged a time of 36.19.

Men's Standings

Elizabeth Nicotra led the CSI women finishing in 28th place individually with a time of 22:48.0. Angelina Guerriero and Alexandrea Jackson also finished top-50 in the field of nearly 200 runners and Kafilat Yekinni and Emily Matatyaev completed the CSI squad.
