GAMEDAY: MEN'S BASKETBALL TAKES ON UNBEATEN PACE UNIVERSITY AT THE TANK

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball Team is back on their home floor tonight as they take on the Pace University Setters tonight at 7:00 PM. The Dolphins improved to 5-6 on the year with a victory against UDC on Saturday, and the team is now 2-1 in conference play. The Setters are a perfect 11-0 on the season and are coming off a ten-point victory over Jefferson University over the weekend. The Dolphins and Setters have met seven times in the history of the two programs, three times since the Dolphins moved to NCAA Division II. In the first meeting, shortly after CSI Athletics announced the move, the Setters scored a decisive victory. The Dolphins then ended Pace's unbeaten start to the season two years later with a three-point win at The Tank. Finally, the Setters took the victory in the most recent matchup two seasons ago.

Ahead of tonight's game, the Dolphins will be recognizing the career of Christian Taylor. A two-time CUNYAC All-Star, two-time CUNYAC Champion, and the 2018-2019 CUNYAC Player of the Year, Taylor reached 1,000 career points during his third season. Unfortunately, his time at CSI was cut one year short by the COVID-19 pandemic, and he was denied the opportunity to add more accolades to his already storied career. Scoring over 1,000 combined points during his sophomore and junior seasons, Taylor undoubtedly still goes down among the most prolific scorers in the history of the Men's Basketball program. Be sure to arrive early as Taylor's name is added to the wall of 1000-point scorers in The Tank ahead of tonight's introductions.
