2025-26 CSI SWIMMING AND DIVING SEASON PREVIEW

The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving team opens the 2025-26 season this Saturday with their Kick-Off Invitational, aiming to build on the program's continued growth within the Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference.

Last season marked a historic milestone for the Dolphins' diving program, which celebrated its first-ever All-American honoree. The team also earned major accolades, including NE10 Diver of the Year and Diving Coach of the Year honors. which culminated in a bid to the NCAA Division II National Diving Championships, setting a strong foundation for the season ahead.

At the 2025 NE10 Championships, the Dolphins delivered record-setting performances, highlighted by Yubal Parra being named Diver of the Meet after his final 3-meter dive put him 200 points ahead of his closest competitor. Additionally, CSI set new standards by breaking multiple records over the long championship weekend. On the women's side, new program-best times were established in the 100 Free, 200 Free, 800 Free Relay, and 200 IM. The men's team also made their mark by breaking records in the 200 and 400 Medley Relays.


The women's program features a roster of 10 student-athletes, evenly split between five newcomers and five returning players. On the men's side, key returning contributors include Yubal Parra on the diving board, along with William Kwan, Julian Lopez, and Vlad Sinigaovskii, who is competing in his graduate season. The Dolphins will face Kean University, Montclair State University, and Ramapo College in two sessions starting at 10:30 AM, with the Kick Off Invite scheduled in the coming days.
