STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island men's basketball team enters Saturday riding a three-game winning streak and remains undefeated at home this season, boasting a perfect 6-0 record on the hardwood of the Tank. The Dolphins will look to keep their momentum rolling as they host Holy Family University.

CSI holds a single win all-time against the Tigers, which came during the 2023 season at the Tournament of Heroes in the Tank. The Dolphins earned a 94-86 victory behind a standout performance from then-freshman Aaron Goldstein, who poured in 21 points while shooting 60% (6-10) from the field and 50% (3-6) from beyond the arc. Goldstein, a four-time East Coast Conference (ECC) Rookie of the Week honoree, also dished out six assists and recorded three steals in the win.

The Dolphins have shown resilience in recent outings, battling back for clutch victories over the District of Columbia and Wilmington University (Del.). In a schedule comparison, CSI is 4-0 against common opponents, while Holy Family is 1-3. As a team, the Dolphins are averaging 86.4 points per game while allowing 80.5 this season and the Tigers enter the day averaging 74.5 points per game and surrendering 76.3.

Goldstein continues to lead CSI offensively, averaging 20.3 points per game while also pacing the team with 18 steals. Asa Kone has been a force on both ends of the floor, averaging 12.0 points per game, leading the team with 8.9 rebounds, and recording 10 blocks on the season. Eric Tynes remains a threat from long range, averaging 11.9 points per game and leading the Dolphins with 30 three-point field goals through 12 games. JJ Chestnut is fourth on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game and recently posted the second-highest single-game assist total in Division II program history with 13 helpers against Wilmington.

Holy Family is led by a balanced scoring attack, with three players averaging double figures, led by a team-high 13.0 points per game, followed by averages of 11.6 and 11.1.
