Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball Team won their sixth straight game earlier tonight as they picked up a decisive victory over Roberts Wesleyan University, 74–57.  With the win, the Dolphins improved to 19–7 on the season and 12–2 in conference play. The Redhawks end the night 2–19 overall and 2–11 in conference play.  The Dolphins sweep the season series from the Redhawks, and CSI now leads the all-time series 7-1.

The Dolphins came out playing suffocating defense and scored the first nine points during the opening minutes of the first quarter.  Kyra Rose scored a quick six points, and the Dolphins led by double-digits for the first time at the 6:22 mark in the opening period.  CSI held Roberts Wesleyan to just six points in the first, and the Dolphins led 19–6 after one.  Only two points were scored in the first four minutes of the second quarter before the Redhawks slowly began to work their way back into the game. They would get as close as six with just over four minutes to play until halftime, but the Dolphins held off the run and went into the break leading, 24–17.

The Dolphins scored nine of the first 11 points in the third quarter to go in front by 14, and the Redhawks would never get to within single digits again.  Jenalyse Alarcon was the driving force behind a strong third quarter for the Dolphins, and CSI led by 17 entering the fourth.  The fourth quarter saw the CSI bench connect on a pair of trio of three-pointers, two by Madison Haggett and another by Oyinkansola Oke.  This helped the Dolphins build a game-high 19-point lead on their way to a 74–57 victory.

Alarcon led the Dolphins in scoring with 19 points and 8 rebounds followed by Rose with 11 points and 4 boards.  The Dolphins bench added 20 points led by Haggett with 9 on 3-6 shooting from beyond the arc.  Georgia Haverlock led Roberts with 26 points, but no other player scored in double-figures for RWU.  The Redhawks were the more efficient team from the field in defeat.  However, the Dolphins forced 29 turnovers in yet another dominant defensive effort.
