MEETDAY: TRACK & FIELD CONCLUDES SEASON AT 2025 ECC OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Rochester, NY - The College of Staten Island Track & Field Team will conclude their season today as they travel to Rochester, NY for the 2025 East Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship.  Today will mark the fourth appearance for the Dolphins in the ECC Championship capping off a season full of record-setting performances.  At last year's championship meet, the Dolphins earned six medals and broke six program records.  

Six returning Dolphins earned medals at last season's ECC Championship.  First, Vincent Ohenhen finished second to take the silver in both the 100 and 200 Meter.  Steven Elcock then earned the lone gold medal with a first-place finish in the 400 Meter.  Both Ibrahima Diallo and Ava Thompson earned bronze medals in the 400 Meter and Discus respectively.  Finally, the CSI men placed second overall in the 4x100 to earn another silver medal.  Ohenhen earned ECC All-Conference First Team in the 100 and 200 while Elcock earned a First Team selection in the 400.  Thompson and Diallo both earned Second Team honors for the events they medaled in while the CSI men's 4x100 Relay squad earned the Dolphins another First Team selection.

At last week's Penn Relays the CSI men competed in multiple relay events throughout the day beginning with the 4x100.  In that event, Sam WhelanNicholas RunfolaSteven Elcock, and Vincent Ohenhen combined to post a time of 42.66s.  That same squad then proceeded to set a new program record in the 4x200 with a time of 1:28.58.  Finally, in the 4x400, Zayden WilliamsIbrahima Diallo, and Josmy Cerda joined Elcock to set another new record with a time of 3:21.38.

Another record-setting time of 1:46.40 was achieved by the CSI women in the 4x200.  The squad of Adonijah WashingtonInioluwa OgunfoworaAlexandrea Jackson, and Precious Dillon combined to set the third program record of the meet.  Becoming the first Dolphin to compete individually at the Penn Relays, Washington also competed in the Triple Jump posting a distance of 10.89m.
