New Orleans, LA – All Region honors for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) earlier this month and Adonijah Washington concluded her impressive freshman campaign with a spot on the All-East Region Team for the Triple Jump. The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.
Washington's record-setting season helped earn her a spot on the USTFCCCA All-East Region Team for the Triple Jump.
Washington ranked third in the ECC for the Triple Jump this season posting a season-best distance of 11.49m at the Towson Invitational. She also broke numerous CSI program records throughout the season and holds more individual records than any other Track & Field athlete after just one season with the program. She was named the program's Cross-Country Rookie of the Year at the Finnies on Friday night last week, one of four awards she received during the department's end-of-year awards dinner. She also received Track & Field Rookie of the Year, Track & Field Runner of the Year, and CSI Athletics Female Rookie of the Year honors. After just one season, she has earned more individual end-of-year awards than all but one other CSI student-athlete.
The Dolphins re-wrote the record books for a second straight season during the 2024-25 Track & Field campaign with Washington at the forefront of a record-setting season. The team also earned their highest placement ever at an ECC Championship culminating with five gold medals and seventeen ECC All-Conference honors at this month's ECC Outdoor Championship.
