ROCHESTER, NY – The College of Staten Island women's basketball team returns to East Coast Conference (ECC) action Saturday afternoon, traveling to Rochester, NY to take on Roberts Wesleyan University at 12:00 PM.

The Dolphins enter the matchup with a 7–12 overall record and a 3–4 mark in conference play. The Red Hawks sit at the bottom of the ECC standings and are still searching for their first conference victory (0–5), holding a 3–10 overall record.

Dolphins Hold the All-Time Series Edge

Saturday's contest marks the first meeting of the 2025–26 regular season between the two programs and the ninth matchup overall. CSI owns a commanding 7–1 advantage in the all-time series and is currently riding a six-game winning streak against the Red Hawks, dating back to a 59–56 victory during the 2023 season. Roberts Wesleyan's lone win in the series came late in the 2022 campaign, when the Red Hawks edged the Dolphins 60–59 from the free-throw line with six seconds remaining.

Last season, the Dolphins completed the sweep with an 83–58 win in Rochester before closing the season series with a 74–57 victory at The Tank.

Rose Climbs ECC Leaderboards

Kyra Rose continues to be a key contributor for the Dolphins this season. The senior leads the team with 13.6 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per contest. Following her 24-point performance against Caldwell on Tuesday, Rose now ranks eighth in the ECC in scoring and rebounds. She also sits fifth in the conference in field-goal percentage, shooting an efficient .475 (85-179).

Individual Scoring Comparison

Shonyae Edmonds is close behind Rose, averaging 10.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Edmonds led the Dolphins on the glass against Caldwell with 11 rebounds, including five offensive boards. Racky Kane ranks third on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game, adds 5.6 rebounds per contest, and leads the Dolphins with 17 blocked shots. Dana Phelan has found her rhythm from beyond the arc, connecting on 25 three-pointers this season, including a season-high five against the Cougars.

Roberts Wesleyan features two double-digit scorers, averaging 12.2 and 11.9 points per game. Their top rebounder is also the team's third-leading scorer, posting 8.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game while anchoring the defense with 21 blocked shots.
