STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island women's basketball team will host its regular season finale on Saturday afternoon, celebrating Senior Day prior to a 1:00 PM matchup against Molloy University.
The Dolphins will honor four-year players Dana Phelan and Kyra Rose, who have been key contributors throughout CSI's early years in the Division II era.
Jan. 31, 2026 Meeting Summary – Molloy's Second-Half Surge Downs CSI
The Dolphins traveled to face Molloy in their first meeting of the season on Jan. 31. CSI opened the game with strong offensive production, building a 40-30 lead at halftime. However, Molloy responded with a dominant second half to hand the Dolphins a 72-66 loss.
Giulana Dito recorded a career-high 17 points, knocking down three three-pointers in the first half to spark the Dolphins' early success. Kyra Rose led CSI with 19 points and added eight rebounds, while Arielle Barnes contributed 13 points and four assists. Shonyae Edmonds controlled the glass with 14 rebounds to go along with eight points.
Double-Double Edmonds
Edmonds has been a major force for the Dolphins over the last five games, averaging a double-double with 15.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest. She now leads the team with 8.0 rebounds per game on the season and ranks second in scoring at 11.3 points per game.
Last week against UDC, Edmonds recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds, and against Queens on Wednesday she led the team with 18 points and 11 rebounds. She now owns seven double-doubles this season.
ECC Postseason Breakdown
CSI remains in contention for its fourth consecutive East Coast Conference postseason appearance. The top four seeds have already been secured, while the Dolphins are battling to clinch either the fifth or sixth seed, which would place them in an off-site ECC quarterfinal matchup. Molloy currently sits as the third seed entering the postseason.

The Dolphins feature three players averaging double figures in scoring. Rose leads the team with 13.6 points per game while also averaging 7.7 rebounds. Edmonds ranks second with 11.3 points per game following her recent stretch of strong performances, and Phelan is averaging 10.4 points per game while ranking third in the conference with 2.0 three-pointers made per game. Racky Kane and Barnes are also key contributors offensively, each averaging approximately 8.0 points per game.
