Columbia, MD – The College of Staten Island Women's Flag Football Sports Club Team travels to Maryland this weekend as the National Collegiate Flag Football League (NCFFL) enters its second season of collegiate competition.

In 2025, the NCFFL's inaugural season featured nine institutions; this year, the league has expanded to include more than 10 programs competing across three tournaments. As a result, the Dolphins will face a greater challenge in their pursuit of a repeat championship. Last season, CSI finished with an overall record of 7-0-1. With a strong core of returners and an influx of eager newcomers, the team enters the weekend confident and prepared to compete with intensity and purpose.

During the two-day Maryland Regional NCFFL Tournament at Howard Community College, the Dolphins will face Mercyhurst, Radford, SUNY Cortland, and Harford.

The team will be led by newly hired Head Coach Lucana Pabon-Troia, who previously served on former head coach Frank Jennaco's staff and played a key role in guiding the Dolphins to their 2025 championship.
