Jaden Waterman led off with a walk, followed by a Hunter single. Flashner then loaded the bases with a bunt, and a Lions throwing error allowed both Waterman and Hunter to score, making it 3-2. Christopher Reilly followed with a sacrifice fly to bring home Flashner and tie the game at three.
The Lions regained control in the fourth, adding three runs to take a 6-3 lead. CSI answered in the bottom of the inning when Weigele drove in Hunter to cut the deficit to 6-4.
In the sixth, the Dolphins loaded the bases with no outs. A wild pitch brought in one run to make it 6-5, and Vera followed with a two-run effort to give CSI a 7-6 lead.
With pressure mounting in the top of the seventh, Molloy loaded the bases after two walks and a bunt. Aidan Kielty rose to the occasion, striking out three consecutive batters to seal the victory and earn the save.
