Khalil Shorter joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team in 2023.  Previously, Shorter served as the junior varsity head basketball coach at Port Richmond High School.  Following that, he spent a year at the College of Mount Saint Vincent as the head JV basketball coach and varsity assistant. 
 
Shorter holds a master’s degree in education and currently works in a high school on Staten Island as a science teacher alongside his coaching position at CSI. 
 
 
Shorter has prior coaching experience with the NY Jayhawks and Will Rios Program bringing a wealth of experience to CSI.  His valuable insight will be a great pleasure and beneficial towards the student-athletes.
