Orin McKay, Jr, joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team in 2017, making his college collegiate debut.
 
McKay’s very first season at CSI is exceptional.  The 2017-2018 season resulted in a CUNYAC Conference Tournament Championship defeating Lehman College by 77-75.  The team earned a berth into the NCAA Division III National Tournament.  The season then resulted in the men’s basketball team coming up short in the CUNYAC Conference Tournament Championship game losing to Baruch college 76-74.  McKay never gives up after a letdown, which he teaches his students, to always preserve.
 
The basketball court is where McKay has always found himself, and he hopes to intergrade his knowledge onto his student-athletes here at CSI.
