A former College of Staten Island softball standout, Victoria Procopio joined the Dolphins' coaching staff in March of 2020. Although accomplished at the plate and in the field, Procopio put a majority of her time in the pitcher's circle, helping the Dolphins win two CUNYAC championships while making a pair of appearances in the NCAA Regional tournaments from 2012-14.
In 2013, Procopio's sophomore season, the ace finished her year with 19 wins, 23 complete games, and 164.1 innings pitched, all placing second-highest ever in a single season. Procopio earned the CSI Female Athlete of the Year award after the sensational effort. Despite an abridged three-year career that ended at the close of the 2014 season, Procopio finished sixth all-time in CSI history in wins (27), closing with 95 strikeouts and a career 4.26 ERA. She proved just as valuable at the plate, finishing with a career .350 batting average, with over 100 hits through 101 starts, with 66 RBI, 78 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases.
In her new role as Assistant Coach, Procopio will hone in on primarily working with CSI's collection of pitchers, helping the unit in their approach and with consistency against what is soon-to-be a newer landscape of hitters within NCAA Division II.
