Jeffery Martin is a CSI graduate with a great deal of experience both as a coach and a competitive bowler. He competed at Curtis High School where he served as team captain in 2009 before becoming an assistant coach from 2010-2011. From 2008-2011, he served as a USBC junior coach before becoming a member of the Staten Island board of directors for the organization. His individual accomplishments are extensive including a USBC-sanctioned highest average (234), series (858), and game (300.) He also won a Junior Bowlers Tour Title in 2011 and four separate SIUSBC Championships. Winning the 2022 New Year's Eve Battle of the Schools also allowed him to donate 1000 dollars to the Curtis High School Bowling Program.
Now, Martin gets the opportunity to give back to CSI in his new role, a responsibility that he is very grateful for. "Being named the College of Staten Island Women's Bowling head coach has been a complete honor and privilege," Martin said. "Not many people have the opportunity to graduate from the college they attended and are able to return as a head coach. Becoming recognized by the United States Bowling Congress as a collegiate program is an accomplishment in itself." Martin's favorite motivational phrase is "roll like nobody's watching."
