After a tough one-goal loss to Neumann University this weekend, the College of Staten Island women's soccer team is looking to get back on track, and will look to do so against FDU-Florham at the CSI Soccer Complex at 3:30pm. The Devils are also looking to erase the sting of a one-goal loss so both teams will be looking to bring their top performances this afternoon.

All-Time Series: FDU leads, 7-0
Last Meeting: October 3, 2017 - FDU won, 5-3
Players to Watch (CSI): The Dolphins are being paced offensively by
Samantha LaValle, who has 13 goals this season, but the sophomore transfer has missed the last two games and CSI is anxiously awaiting her return and it remains to be seen if she will be back in the lineup today.
Lauren Smith has played in every game and she leads the squad with seven assists to go with five goals, good for second on the team. Look for her to be the generator on offense as well. Freshman
Mirsade Pelinkovic has been making a big impact in recent weeks and she now has four goals and five assists. The Dolphins got
Samantha Lepardo back from injury after a five-game absence, and she responded by scoring a goal in CSI's 2-1 loss to Neumann. Defensively,
Kaila DiBenedetto will be responsible for minding the net. She boasts a .689 save percentage to go with a 2.00 goals against average.
Players to Watch (FDU): FDU boasts a defensive mindset, but offensively they share a lot of the load. Erika Pike is the overall goal leader with seven, adding two assists. Amanda Croce is right behind with six markers. Tatiana Nieto only has two goals through 11 games, but she is cleaning up on assists, tallying eight so far, by far the most on the team. Defensively, look for Dari Lyons and Ashley Paulino to hold things down and try to keep CSI off of the scoreboard. Paulino has started 10 games in goal, boasting an outstanding .830 save percentage and is allowing just 0.71 goals against.
News & Notes: Today's matchup in a series dominated by FDU, as they have taken all seven previous meetings, a mark that includes a 3-0 record in games played at CSI. The series has gotten tighter, however. In the first five games of the series, FDU outscored CSI, 25-0, but in the last two games, FDU won by slimmer 2-1 and 5-3 scores. CSI's
Nicole Mignone scored two goals in last year's meeting. Mignone has only registered a single goal this season, so look for her to try to get uncorked against the Devils. These two teams share two common opponents. CSI fell to Kean in the opening date of the season, 5-1, while FDU tied Kean, 0-0. Against William Paterson, CSI also lost 5-1 while FDU was able to defeat WPU, 2-0. Recently, however, FDU fell to Lehman College, 1-0, a team that CSI has had a lot of success against but who they haven't played as of yet.
