The College of Staten Island Women's Soccer team will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid this evening as they head to Aviator Field in Brooklyn, NY for a matchup with CUNYAC rival Medgar Evers College.  Having dropped three straight after winning their season-opener, the Dolphins enter tonight's matchup with a record of 1-3 while the Cougars are searching for their first win at 0-4.

All-Time Series: Dolphins lead 20-4-1
Players to Watch (CSI): Samantha LaValle, the Dolphins leading goal-scorer last season, once again leads the team with four goals scored through CSI's first four contests.  LaValle has had plenty of company on the scoresheet as well with four other Dolphins, Rebecca D'Aloia, Mirsade Pelinkovic, Amber Mitchell, and Jordan Yagos all adding a goal of their own.  Samantha Beaudreault has logged all 360 minutes in goal for the Dolphins so far this season and has been extensively tested as she has already faced 59 shots through her four starts.
Players to Watch (MEC):  The Cougars are still looking for their first goal of the 2019 season after only scoring a single goal last season across 13 games.  That lone score belonged to Jody-Ann Blanchard who returns for the Cougars this year.  However, she has handled the bulk of the goalkeeping duties thus far and is still one of four players on the Cougars roster that has played every minute through their first four matches.  The others are senior Tasheka James and freshmen Jessycca Myers and Janae Lanier.
News & Notes: Not only have the Cougars not beaten the Dolphins since 2010, when they defeated CSI 3-1 in the CUNYAC Championship, but they are also looking for their first goal against the Dolphins since that matchup.  In the nine meetings since that Medgar Evers victory over CSI, the Dolphins have outscored the Cougars by an 84-0 margin.  These two teams have become very familiar with one another over the years, but with the Dolphins now a Division II program and part of the East Coast Conference, this could very well be the final meeting between the two sides.
What's Next?: After tonight's game, the Dolphins return home on Wednesday for another match against a CUNYAC opponent in York College.  That match will be part of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader that will feature the men taking on Medgar Evers at 2:00 followed by the women facing York at 4:00.
