All-Time Series: First Meeting
Players to Watch (CSI):  The Dolphins have had a large group of players register at least a single goal so far this season, but it's Samantha LaValle who continues to lead the way with five.  Right behind her are Amber Mitchell, who netted a hat-trick against Medgar-Evers last Saturday, and Mirsade Pelinkovic, who scored a pair against York on Wednesday.  Lizbeth Aparicio has contributed six assists to lead the team, five coming against the Cougars a week ago, and while her impact doesn't always appear on the stat sheet, fellow senior backer Rebecca D'Aloia continues to anchor a Dolphins defense that has limited the opposition to 39 shots on goal and under 10 shots per game.  In goal, Samantha Beaudreault has played every minute so far this season allowing 24 goals on 60 attempted shots.  However, many of the goals she has surrendered this season have come on incredibly difficult shots to save and she has provided the Dolphins with consistency in between pipes so far in 2019.
Players to Watch (QC):  The Knights have found themselves locked in several low-scoring contests so far this season, but that hasn't stopped Victoria Ramirez and Guro Eriksen from scoring four goals each.  The remaining five goals for the Knights have been scored by five different players, but Ramirez has also had a hand in some of these as she has tallied seven assists as well.  Right behind her are Sarafina Smith and Alexis Quealy with three and two assists respectively.  Unlike the Dolphins, the Knights have used three different goalkeepers to this point with Shenae Kreps getting the majority of the playing time.  In 370 minutes she has allowed only three goals and boasts a save percentage of nearly 86%.
News & Notes: This is the first meeting between these two sides in the history of each program with more to come as the Dolphins and Knights will both call the East Coast Conference home moving forward.  Not only will the two teams share a conference, but they also share the distinction of being the only CUNY schools that are NCAA Division II members.  For the Dolphins, this matchup with the Knights will be their last against a Division II team this season with CSI already having picked up a victory against Division II Penn College in their opener.  A win over Queens would move the 3-3 Dolphins over the .500 mark both for the season and against Division II competition as they have split their first two matches against D2 opponents Penn College and Concordia NY.
What's Next?: After today's contest, CSI will be back on the road this Wednesday when they travel to Madison, NJ to take on the Devils of FDU-Florham.  Kickoff will take place under the lights at 7:30 PM with the Dolphins looking to pick up their first win over the Devils in program history.
