Staten Island, NY |  Season two of The Dolphin Pod is in full swing, and this week's show is a great one as CSI Director of Athletics Charles Gomes and Associate Director Erin Van Nostrand join the show to talk about the state of affairs within CSI Athletics as they traverse Provisional Year Two of NCAA Division II status.  They talk about what is anticipated in Year Two, the challenges associated with COVID, and the overall landscape in NCAA as we see it today.

A first of its kind news magazine podcast, The Dolphin Pod chronicles all things College of Staten Island Athletics.  Weekly previews, reviews, interviews and more are on tap every Friday afternoon.  CSI Associate Director of Athletics David Pizzuto anchors the show, alongside Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach Nicholas Doran.

On this week's show, Pizzuto and Doran recap the week that was and preview the week ahead, largely centered around the debut of the Esports seasons.  The duo then welcomed in Director of Athletics Charles Gomes and Associate Director of Athletics Erin Van Nostrand, to discuss the current state of athletics at CSI and the future as part of Provisional Year Two of NCAA Division II.  The group discussed the busier-than-normal summer, devising plans in the wake of COVID-19, the current situation within the program, and the extra emphasis put on the program by the NCAA in the wake of being provisional.  The group saved time to discuss the current NCAA landscape, including how major Division I conferences are handling fall football and other sports heavily-tied to funding and what it means for the future of the NCAA.  It's an episode you won't want to miss.
