Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Cross Country Men's & Women's teams raced in their final meet of the season at Sunken Meadow Park as part of the St. Joseph College Invite. The men placed 8
th overall among the 23 participating schools. The women place 12
th among the 14 participating schools. Monroe College (NR) won the 8K race on the men's side, while St. Thomas Aquinas College won the 5K race on women's side.

INSIDE THE MEET
The men's team sent out six Dolphins, one finished in the top 20 and another in the top 40. Those finishes helped for a total team average of 33:23.50 with a total score of 238 and ahead of a few ECC member schools competing. The women also sent out six Dolphin runners, one of which finished in the top 40, good for a total team average of 30:43.86 with a total score of 274.

DOLPHINS OF THE MEET
CSI Junior,
Spencer Milito, finished 19
th overall coming in with a time of 30:36.55 among the 144 total male runners. Behind him was Junior,
Ahmed Khodir who placed 32
nd, his best finish in any race, coming in at 31:37.94. On the Women's side,
Julia Calvo led the way finishing 39
th overall with a time of 23:35.49 among the 119 female runners on the day.
Alexandrea Jackson was their second scorer coming in at 61
st place with a time of 25:52.33.

COACH'S REACTION
The Dolphins next turn their attention to the East Coast Conference (ECC) XC Championships in a week's time. Head Coach
Andrew Gangemi had this to say post-meet in regard to his team's finish in today's meet. "Sunken Meadow is a challenging course, today was a test of their strength. We had solid efforts all around as we make our final preparation for the ECC championships."
