Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball team (2-2 Overall) will hit the road this morning for a non-conference matchup against the Eagles of Post University (3-1). Game time is set for 1:00 PM at the Drubner Center in Waterbury, Connecticut. CSI played the Eagles for the first time in 2019-20, losing that matchup by double-digits in the Tank. Today CSI travels to their home court for the first time ever as they look to continue their momentum from their most recent comeback win. This will be CSI's first road game of the season while the Eagles host their fifth straight home contest to start their season.
LAST TIME OUT
Last Tuesday, the Dolphins saw yet another game come down to the final minutes but this time they erased a 20-point second-half deficit to defeat Nyack College, 61-58. It was game where you can see the Dolphins gelling on the court during that second have run, fighting for every possession and ultimately sealing the comeback win. The Eagles come into this one winning their last two games, including their last win where they scored a season high of 84 points.
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
Jenalyse Alarcon, has played the most minutes per-game for CSI averaging 38.5 and is less than a point short of averaging a double-double on the season. In her last two games she is averaging 11.5 points and 18 rebounds per-game.
Gia Esposito is CSI's leading scorer and has had the hot hand from three, shotting it at a 48% percent clip all while coming off the bench. The Dolphins second leading scorer thus far this season is
Elizabeth Lofaro, who also fills up the stat sheet throughout the game. She is second on the team with five rebounds per-game, tied at 1.5 steals per games with three other Dolphins and tied for the teams assist leader at 2.3 assists per-game.
