The College of Staten Island women's basketball team is set to tip off its 2026-27 season on the road against Assumption University on November 9 at 5:30 PM. Following their season opener, the Dolphins will return home to host the Conference Challenge Tournament, welcoming Holy Family University, Post University, and the Greyhounds. Last season, the Dolphins finished with a 12-18 overall record and a 7-9 mark in East Coast Conference (ECC) play. CSI made its fourth consecutive appearance in the ECC postseason, earning the fifth seed in the tournament. In the opening round, the Dolphins traveled to face D'Youville University and mounted an impressive second-half comeback, scoring 43 points while holding the Saints to 21 to secure a 60-55 victory. In the second round, the Dolphins faced top-seeded Daemen University in a rematch of the 2024-25 ECC Championship. Earlier in the 2025-26 season, CSI pushed the Wildcats to overtime before falling in the closing seconds. The Dolphins' season ultimately came to an end against Daemen in the second round of the ECC postseason. Heading into the 2026-27 campaign, CSI returns seven players, including seniors Racky Kane, Shonyae Edmonds, and Dorothy Wiese, along with sophomores Giuliana Dito and Arielle "Stitchy" Barnes. The Dolphins also welcome five newcomers to the roster as they look to build on last season's postseason success. Nicole Sarcone enters her ninth season at the helm of the program and will be supported by assistant coaches Kelsey Carey, Allie McGinn, and Kayla Ferris.
