Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball team (0-4 Overall) will play in their fourth home contest of the season against the Adelphi University Panthers (3-1 Overall) in the Tank tonight. Game time is set for 7:00 PM. Fans are permitted to attend, however, all fans MUST follow our
Winter Spectator Policy to attend. The Dolphins have played the Panthers a total of four times back in 1979-83. CSI registered only one road win against the Panthers in that span. CSI lost both home contests against the visiting Panthers including their final matchup in 1983. Tonight, these two teams will clash once again in a non-conference matchup as CSI seeks their first win of the season.
LAST TIME OUT
This past Tuesday, CSI opened the conference portion of their schedule with a defeat at the hands of Daemen College, 80-61 at home. The Panthers are coming off a five-point win against Jefferson College, 70-65 on the road. This will be CSI's second game of a three-game home stand. Adelphi plays in the NE10, the same conference as the College of Saint Rose who handed the Dolphins their worst loss of the season at the Tip-Off Tournament of Heroes two weeks ago. The Panthers lone loss of the season came at the hands of CSR by one point, 82-81, a little over a week ago.
DOLPHINS TO WATCH
Though no Dolphin is averaging double-digits in scoring,
Messiah Mallory is leading the team in four categories, in minutes, rebounds, assists, and blocks as he has started the season strong overall for the Dolphins on the court.
Austin Mick and
Bryce Waterman are two shooters for the Dolphins who will look to get back on track as they are shooting a combined 22% from three-point range while both are averaging over 30 minutes per-game. Mick is coming of a 3-6 performance from three against Daemen College.
