Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Men's Basketball Team picked up their second conference victory of the season this afternoon as they picked up a big win over the D'Youville College Saints, 96-62. The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the Dolphins, now 3-7 overall and 2-2 in ECC play. The Saints fall to 1-11 on the year and to 0-4 in conference play.

KEY MOMENTS

The Saints opened the scoring just over one minute into the game to go ahead 2-0, but from that point forward it was all Dolphins. Less than nine minutes into the first half, the Dolphins led by ten, but the Saints wouldn't let the deficit get out of hand as they stayed within fourteen heading into halftime. It was less than two minutes into the second half that an Austin Mick three put the Dolphins in front by twenty for the first time. This lead wouldn't shrink to less than eighteen again, and the Dolphins cemented the lopsided victory with a 15-0 scoring run.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

The Dolphins scored a season-high 96 points in the game behind 48% shooting from beyond the arc. Defensively, CSI held D'Youville to 35% shooting from the floor and 13% from downtown. CSI led for all but just over one minute of the game in what was easily the team's most complete effort of the season.

DOLPHIN OF THE GAME

Tonight's Dolphin of the Game was a leader for CSI at both ends of the floor. Messiah Mallory scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds shooting 6-12 from the field. In addition to his scoring, his presence around the rim was a huge boost for the Dolphins on the glass as he notched his second double-double of the season.
