Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball Team played their second straight conference game this afternoon and suffered a lopsided defeat against the D'Youville College Saints, 87-57. The Dolphins fall to 2-7 on the season, 0-3 in conference play. For the Saints, the win improves them to 7-2 on the season and 2-1 against the ECC.
KEY MOMENTS
The Dolphins got off to a good start offensively in the opening quarter as they took a four-point lead just over four minutes into the game on a Jenalyse Alarcon three-pointer. However, the Saints bounced back quickly with a 12-0 run to give them an eight-point lead. That lead continued to grow throughout the first half reaching twelve by the end of the opening quarter and fifteen by halftime. The lead extended beyond twenty through three quarters, and the Saints tacked another ten points onto the lead in the fourth to win the game by thirty.

The Dolphins shot the ball poorly once again as they made only 28% of their shots from the floor. The Saints shot well over 50% in the game and hit 36% of their shots from long range. The Dolphins also surrendered 42 points in the paint while scoring only 16 and were outrebounded by 10.

In a game where the CSI offense struggled to score the ball efficiently, today's Dolphin of the Game was a bright spot for CSI at that end of the floor. Jenalyse Alarcon led the Dolphins in scoring with 12 points on 4-6 shooting. She also added 5 rebounds, good for second on the team.
