11/19/2022 6:04:00 PM

Bethpage, NY - The College of Staten Island Cross-Country team concluded the 2022 season earlier today as they made their first appearance in the NCAA East Region Cross-Country Championship.  For the men, it was a 21st place finish in their final outing of the season.  For the women, it was a 19th place finish in the last meet of the year.

The men's squad for the Dolphins was comprised of the five runners who competed together in nearly every meet this season.  Muhammed Qadri, Matthew Amato, Alan Bass, Pedro Astudillo, and Jamel Reynolds participated in today's 10K for the Dolphins, and once again, Qadri led the way with a time of 39:04.40.  For the women, Julia Calvo, Angelina Guerriero, Alexandrea Jackson, Hailey Caruso, Megan Meagher, and Fabiola Jean competed in the 6K.  Calvo led the effort with a time of 30:49.80, one of three Dolphins to finish the event with a time under 35 minutes.
