MEN’S AND WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SET PERSONAL AND SCHOOL RECORDS IN THE TCNJ LIONS INVITATIONAL AND PERFORMED WELL IN THE PENN RELAYS

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams competed in their fifth & sixth event sof the season. The Dolphins took part in the TCNJ Lions Invitational & the Penn Relays. They would set five personal records, one school record, and one season best between both the men's and women's squads.
 
INSIDE THE MEETS
 
TCNJ
In the 100m, Caitlyn Burns set a personal record with a time of 13.17 as she placed in 14th. Vincent Ohenhen came in 11th place with a time of 11.23 for the men. In the 200m, Emily Albano set a personal record of her own as she placed in 38th with a time of 29.88. For the men, Jordan Thompson tallied a season-best time of 23.59 as he finished in 27th place. In the 400m, Megan Meagher would set a personal record of 1:16.06 as she finished 29th overall. In the 800m, another personal record was set. This time for Julia Calvo as she ran for a time of 2:37.05 placing her in 31st. In the 1500m, Hailey Caruso finished with a time of 6:03.38 which was a personal record. She came in 36th place. In the field events, Skylar Pointer set a school record in shot put as she threw for a distance of 10.51m placing her in 20th place.
 
Penn Relays
 In the 4x100 Men's Relays Jordan Thompson, Ahmed Khodir, Kyle Quesda, Vincent Ohenhen finished with a time of 46.84. The 4x400 Women's race Caitlyn Burns, Julia Calvo, Hailey Caruso, Alexandrea Jackson finished with a time of 4:43.32, on the Men's side of that race incent Ohenhen, Jordan Thompson, Muhammed Qadri, Ahmed Khodir completed with a time of 3.38.36

 "The team really competed today. They battled against the other competitors and really tested themselves. I'm very proud of how  they stepped out of there comfort zone and pushed themselves" Said Head Coach Andrew Gangemi
 
Penn Relays
"The men and women's relay team went down to PENN, soaked in the experience and were able to compete on one of the biggest stages of collegiate track and field" Said Head Coach Andrew Gangemi
