INDOOR TRACK & FIELD MAKES THIRD APPEARANCE IN GOTHAM CUP

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team was back in action earlier today as they took part in the 2023 Gotham Cup. Today's meet marks the third time that the Dolphins have participated in the event dating back to the 2019-2020 season, their first as an NCAA Division II program.

The CSI women excelled in field events once again as Jazmine Severo followed up her record-breaking effort in the High Jump at the Spartan Invitational with a height of 1.55m in today's meet. That mark matched her record-setting performance last time out and was good for third overall in today's Gotham Cup. Skylar Pointer earned seventh in the Weight Throw as well with a distance of 13.61m and Ava Thompson achieved a season-best 12.50m in same event.

Aryanna Finkelstein rounded out another stellar day in the field hitting a distance of 10.07m in the Shot Put and a lifetime-best 11.44m in the Weight Throw. Lastly, Angelina Guerriero posted a time of 1:11 in the 400m in another standout effort for the Dolphins, this one coming on the track.

The Dolphins will be in action away from Ocean Breeze for the first time this season in their next meet as they travel to Middletown, CT for the Wesleyan Indoor Invite next Saturday.
