Middletown, CT - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team continued their season on the road earlier today as they traveled to Middletown, CT for their first appearance in the Wesleyan Indoor Invite.  Once again, records fell for the Dolphins in the meet, but today's outing also saw more than one Dolphin earn first-place finished in their respective events.  The standout efforts came from the women in field events, but there were also some strong efforts for the Dolphins on the track.

Jazmine Severo continued her impressive freshman campaign in today's meet once again besting her own school record in the High Jump.  Not only was her height of 1.62m good for a new school record, but it was also good for first place at today's meet.  The Dolphins also excelled in the Shot Put as Skylar Pointer and Aryanna Finkelstein finished third and fourth in the event with distances of 10.65m and 10.18m.  Ava Thompson also finished in the top ten in that same event with a distance of 9.21m, a lifetime-best mark for her.  However, the most impressive performances of the day from Pointer and Thompson came in the Weight Throw.  The duo finished first and second in that event with Pointer achieving a distance of 13.62m and Thompson hitting a distance of 13.12m, once again a lifetime-best.  Finkelstein also finished in the top ten in that event with a distance of 10.81m.

On the track, Precious Dillon qualified for the 60-Meter finals and took fifth place with a time of 8.75 seconds.  Angelina Guerriero also competed in the 400-Meter finals and finished seventh with a time of 1:11.82.  Lastly for the women, Alexandrea Jackson and Julia Calvo took ninth and tenth respectively in the 800-Meter finals.  For the CSI men, Muhammed Qadri earned the highest placing in an event finals.  In the 800-Meter Qadri took twelfth with a time of 2:20.65.

The Dolphins will once again be competing out-of-state next weekend as they will travel to the Koehler Fieldhouse in East Stroudsburg, PA to compete in the DeSchriver Invitational.
