10/28/2023 6:00:00 AM

Jersey City, NJ - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team will hit the road for the first time this season later today as they visit Saint Peter's University at noon.  The Dolphins are coming off their first NE-10 meet against Adelphi University last Friday which saw both the men and women suffer a defeat at the hands of the Panthers.  However, the CSI women earned a win over Hunter College, their second of the season.  Following last weekend's results, the CSI men enter today's meet 2-1 and the CSI women come in 2-2.

Today's meeting with Saint Peter's University will mark the first time that the two programs have faced off in the pool.  The Peacocks will also welcome the Manhattan College Jaspers into today's meet making for another difficult test for the Dolphins following last week's NE-10 opener.  On Monday, it was announced that the Dolphins also earned a pair of NE-10 conference honors and CSI swept the Diver of the Week awards behind strong efforts from Jordan Swanson and Michael GrahamEdna Melendez also earned a conference honor roll mention following her record-setting effort in the 200-Yard Backstroke at CSI's last meet.  Swanson also broke a CSI program record in 1-Meter Diving and achieved an NCAA-qualifying score last week.
