NE10 Presidents' Award For Academic Excellence 2026 (Swim and Dive)

FOUR SWIM & DIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN NE10 PRESIDENTS' AWARD FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – After the Women's Swimming and Diving team were recognized last week with the Northeast 10 (NE10) Academic Team Excellence Award for posting the highest team grade point average in the conference, the College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving program continued to be celebrated for its success in the classroom. On June 30, the NE10 announced its 2025-26 Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence recipients, with four Dolphins earning the honors. Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams recorded the highest team GPAs in the Athletic Department during the 2025-26 academic year.

Now in its third year, the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence recognized 273 graduating student-athletes across the conference.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must:

  • Be graduating student-athletes from an NE10 institution.
  • Graduate with Magna Cum Laude honors or higher.
  • Have competed in at least two seasons of NE10 competition and be active student-athletes at the time of graduation.

Representing the Dolphins this year are Eslam Hussein, William Kwan, Dylan Martinson, and Katarina Tsirlin.

Hussein graduated with his second bachelor's degree in Business while posting a 3.55 cumulative GPA. Kwan earned a bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Accounting and graduated with a 3.58 GPA. Martinson recorded the highest cumulative GPA on the men's swimming & diving team at 3.904 while earning his bachelor's degree in Mathematics. He will continue his studies as he pursues a master's degree in Adolescent Education.

Tsirlin was the lone honoree from the women's program, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a 3.409 cumulative GPA.
