MEETDAY: SWIMMING & DIVING RESUMES NE-10 COMPETITION AGAINST SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE

12/2/2023 6:00:00 AM

New Haven, CT - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team will return to action this afternoon as they resume NE-10 competition against Southern Connecticut State University.  The Dolphins held their first head-to-head NE-10 meet against Adelphi University earlier this season, and today's meet will be the first of two consecutive meets against their new conference.  The CSI men enter today's meet 3-3 while the CSI women come in 3-5.  For the Owls, the men are 1-4 and the women are 2-6 on the year.

The Dolphins last hit the pool two weeks ago when they hosted the second annual CSI Invite.  The meet featured five teams across Division II and Division III including another NE-10 program in The College of Saint Rose.  It was a record-breaking weekend for the Dolphins as numerous program records fell over the course of the two-day meet.  When all the points were tallied, the CSI men took second the CSI women took third.  Following the meet, the Dolphins added yet another NE-10 weekly honor to their list of accolades as Edna Melendez, Jessica Johnson, Aurelia Barbagallo, and Katherine Ebrahim earned Relay of the Week for their record-breaking performance in the 200 Yard Medley Relay.
