DOLPHINS FINISH SEASON WITH MORE RECORD-BREAKING PERFORMANCES AT ECC CHAMPIONSHIP

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team competed in the East Coast Conference Championship earlier tonight and once again achieved a pair of new program record among several other placements in the evening's events. The Dolphins competed in the ECC Championship for the third time tonight and continued to excel in the Throws and Jumps as they have for much of the season.

The first program record to fall on the evening was in the High Jump as Jazmine Severo bested her own record yet again with a height of 1.68m to earn first overall. Shortly after in the Weight Throw, Skylar Pointer shattered her own record with a distance of 14.16m, good for second place overall. In addition to the record-breaking efforts from Severo and Pointer, both Aryanna Finkelstein and Ava Thompson earned top-10 finishes in throwing events. Finkelstein took 8^th in the Shot Put and Thompson finished 10^th in the Weight Throw.

For the CSI men, their best performances of the meet came on the track. After competing in the Long Jump earlier, Cole Enslen finished directly in the middle of the standings in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 24.31s. Also on the track, Muhammed Qadri finished just outside of the top half of the field in the 800 Meter Run.

In addition to their placements across several events, the Dolphins also earned ECC All-Conference honors in three separate field events. Severo was named to the All-Conference First Team in the High Jump after finishing the season with the highest mark in the conference. Pointer was also named to the All-Conference First Team in the Weight Throw and was named to the Second Team in the Shot Put.
