MEETDAY: TRACK & FIELD COMPETES IN 2024 GOTHAM CUP

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team is back in action at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Facility for the second consecutive week as they compete in the 2024 Gotham Cup. Today's outing will be the fourth time that the Dolphins have competed in this meet, and last year's meet saw the CSI women put together a very impressive outing.

Returners who posted big numbers at the Gotham Cup last season include Skylar Pointer, Ava Thompson, Aryanna Finkelstein and Angelina Guerriero. In the field, Pointer placed seventh in the Weight Throw and Thompson added what was a season-best 12.50m effort in the same event. Finkelstein also achieved what was a lifetime-best 11.44m throw and Guerriero posted a time of 1:11 in the 400-Meter Dash.

Last week's CSI effort at the Spartan Invitational on the men's side was highlighted by Vincent Ohenhen's 11^th place finish in the 60-Yard Dash with a time of 7.09s. Steven Elcock also place well within the top half of a field of over 100 runners in the 200-Meter Dash and Sofia Dulisova took fourth in the High Jump for the CSI women. Her height of 1.60m tied a season-best and earned her a spot on the East Coast Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
