1/24/2024 10:00:00 AM

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team hosts their final meet of the regular season tonight as they take on longtime CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College.  The Dolphins will also host their Senior Night presentation ahead of the meet recognizing Maxim Kleyer and Sam Rozenfeld.  That duo and rest of the CSI men scored earned their fifth win of the season in their last outing against Baruch to improve to 5-4 on the season.  The CSI women are 4-7 on the season following their win against Baruch last week.  The Brooklyn women enter The Tank 5-6 on the year while the Brooklyn men come in 7-2.

There is extensive history between the Dolphins and Bulldogs spanning 16 meets over 24 years.  The CSI men have won 13 of the 15 matchups with the Bulldogs dating back to the year 2000.  Brooklyn scored their first win over CSI in 2012 and also took the win in the most recent meeting in 2020.  The CSI women have earned the victory in all but one of their meets against Brooklyn with their lone defeat coming in the first-ever matchup between the two programs back in 1999.

Today's meet will be the last for the Dolphins ahead of their first-ever appearance in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.  That meet will span four days from February 15-18 and will see the Dolphins compete against an entirely Division II field of competitors in the postseason for the first time in program history.
