STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted their first Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) meet of the season last Friday. The women's team recorded several first-place finishes and other top performances to remain competitive against the Adelphi Panthers, with senior Jacqueline DeFranco leading the way on the diving boards.
DeFranco competed in both the 1M and 3M diving events, earning top finishes in each. She posted a score of 209.95 in the 1M event and currently ranks first in the conference in the 3M event with a score of 225.25. Her performance earned her this week's NE10 Women's Diver of the Week honors.
This marks DeFranco's first Diver of the Week honor of the season. Last season, she earned the distinction three times and eventually finished second in the conference in both the 1M and 3M diving events at the NE10 Championships in February 2026.
The Dolphins will return to action on Saturday, October 31, for their first road meet of the season in Pleasantville, NY. CSI will face host Pace University at 4:00 PM.
