STEPHENSON AND NICOTRA SHINE AT NCAA CROSS-COUNTRY EAST REGIONAL

Rochester, NY - The College of Staten Island Cross-Country Team visited Rochester today as they wrapped up the 2024 season at the NCAA East Regional meet. Another program record fell as Wayne Stephenson set a new program record in the 10K. Also, Elizabeth Nicotra posted a top-five time in program history for the 6K. Joining that duo were three additional CSI men and four CSI women who competed for the Dolphins in the team's final outing of the season.

In the 6K, Nicotra led the way for the Dolphins with her time of 26:23.3. She was followed closely by Angelina Guerriero and Alexandrea Jackson who both finished in between 27 and 28 minutes. Rounding of the women's squad were Camryn Koch and Mary-Lee Mitchell.

RESULTS (WOMEN)

In the 10K, Stephenson posted the record-breaking time of 35:53.2. He was joined on the men's side by Matthew Amato, Kelon Martin and Adam Mohamed. For all four runners, today marked their first time competing in the 10K as Dolphins. For Stephenson, the record is the second he has set this season.
