Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Indoor Track & Field Team was back in action today at the Seahawk Shootout, and the team once again put together a record-setting effort.  Nine program records were broken, and many more personal bests were achieved by the Dolphins in their second outing of the Indoor season.

The CSI women set three new program records, two coming in individual events and one more in a relay.  First, Adonijah Washington achieved a new program record in the 600 Meter with a time of 1:45.35.  Finishing closely behind was Alexandrea Jackson with a time of 1:48.93.  Both women bested the previous record of 1:52.18 set last season by Angelina Guerriero.  In today's meet, Guerriero claimed her own record as well posting a time of  3:14.68 in the 1000 Meter.  Lastly, Inioluwa Ogunfowora, Precious Dillon, Alexandrea Tavarez, and Alexis Doyle broke the program record in the 4x200 Relay with a time 1:50.82.

For the CSI men, another six program records fell in today's meet.  Jeremiah Downer set new program records in both the 60 Meter Hurdles and the Long Jump.  Ibrahima Diallo and Maxwell Ming then finished a fraction of a second apart in the 600 Meter with Diallo setting a new program record of 1:25.09.  Wayne Stephenson added to his list of program records posting time of 4:33.12 in the Mile.  Like the women, the men also set a record in the 4x200 Relay as Steven Elcock, Karran Riley, Nicholas Runfola and Vincent Ohenhen finished with a time of 1:30.33.

In addition to the many new program records set by the Dolphins in today's meet, there were many personal bests.  For the women, Doyle and Tavarez added a PR in the 60 Meter to their record in the 4x200 Relay.  Washington and Jackson each achieved personal bests in the 600 Meter as well, and Guerriero's record was a PR in the 1000 Meter.  In the field, Mary-Lee Mitchell achieved a personal best in the Weight Throw, and Doyle achieved another personal best for her Indoor Triple Jump.

All eleven PR's for the CSI men came on the track beginning with Downer's performance in the 60 Meter Hurdles.  Four Dolphins, Stephenson, Kelon Martin, Matthew Amato and Adam Mohamed, achieved a personal best in the Mile.  Three more, Diallo, Ming, and Zayden Williams, set personal bests in the 600 Meter.  Finally, Sam Whelan and Chris Vazquez PR'd in the 300 Meter.

The Dolphins will break for the holiday recess before resuming action on January 10, 2025 at the Spartan Invitational.
