GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL OPENS 2025 AGAINST GOLDEY-BEACOM IN SEARCH OF FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball Team opens 2025 at The Tank later tonight as they will go for their fourth straight this afternoon against Goldey-Beacom College. The Dolphins enter their first game of the new year with a record of 8-4 on the season. Last time out, they defeated the regionally-ranked University of New Haven on the road, 60-53, to earn their third consecutive victory. The Lightning are 3-10 on the year, but they have won each of their last two games over St. Thomas Aquinas College and American International College. The two teams have met twice before dating back to the 2021-2022 season with both games being decided by less than ten points. The first matchup saw the Lightning defeat the Dolphins 71-67. Goldey-Beacom then won the second meeting two seasons later, 81-73.
