1/20/2025 8:00:00 AM

Staten Island, NY - The College of Staten Island Swimming & Diving Team will celebrate Senior Day today as they take on former CUNYAC rival Baruch College at The Tank.  The CSI men enter today's meet 4-3 on the season, and the CSI women come in 2-7 on the year.  The Baruch men enter the day with a record of 6-0, and the women come in 7-1.  The Bearcats continue to compete in the City University of New York Athletic Conference where they formed a longstanding rivalry with the Dolphins during CSI's time as an Division III program.  Historically, the CSI men have gotten the better of Baruch while the Baruch women have held the advantage over the women of CSI.  The Dolphins are 14-6 against Baruch on the men's side and 7-13 against Baruch on the women's side.  Facing Baruch each of the last two seasons, the Dolphins have won both the men's and women's meet both times.  Prior to that, the Bearcats men had won three straight meets against the Dolphins and the Baruch women had won eleven straight.

The Dolphins will recognize eight seniors ahead of today's meet including four women and four men.  On the women's side, the team will recognize Katherine Ebrahim, Morgan Novello, Jessica Johnson, and Jordan Swanson.  For the men, the team will recognize, Matt Bernstein, Nicholas Tartaglione, David Poggioli, and Anthony Attenborough.  The entire Senior Day presentation will be streamed live along with the meet.  Audio levels will be adjusted once the ceremony begins for broadcasting on the ECC Network.
