STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island women's soccer team returns to non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon as they take on Caldwell University at Dolphin Soccer Park. The Dolphins will be seeking redemption after their first-ever meeting with the Cougars in Sept. 2024, when they suffered a 5-0 defeat.

Both the Dolphins and the Cougars are coming off 1-1 performances last week. CSI earned a 2-1 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) on Oct.1, before falling 1-0 to D'Youville on Saturday, Oct. 4. Meawhile, Caldwell, split their road matches, dropping 8-1 to Adelphi before bouncing back with a 3-0 conference win over Georgian Court.

The Dolphins are led by five different goal scorers, each with one goal this season. Previously, Isabella Schlee and Albana Gjonbalaj both recorded their first collegiate goals in the win over St. Thomas Aquinas. Schlee scored a 30-yard equalizer, while Gjonbalaj delivered the game-winner. The Cougars boast eight different goal scorers, including one player with 13 points through eight games, tallying six goals and one assist. In goal, Brianna Dore earned her first win of the season against STAC, making six saves. She now has 32 saves on the year.
