NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The CSI Women's Flag Football Club Team competed in the National Collegiate Flag Football League's (NCFFL) inaugural November Cup Fall Tournament earlier this month, held at Iona University. The Dolphins are the defending (and first-ever) NCFFL 2025 National Champions after an impressive 4-0 outing in Spring of 2025 in what was the first official season in the NCFFL. Overall, the 2025 Spring Dolphins Flag team went 7-0-1 in their first official Collegiate Women's Flag Football season as a program. This Spring, the league will comprise of 18 collegiate programs, all looking to nab the title from the Dolphins!

During the inaugural NCFFL November Cup Fall Tournament, six collegiate programs were competing for the November Cup Championship. Including CSI, there were the University of Albany, Mercyhurst University, Rutgers University, Campbellsville University, and Iona University. On Saturday, November 8, the Dolphins would go 2-0 in both of their seeding games, as the Dolphins' defense shut out both opponents. First, CSI played the Lakers of Mercyhurst, defeating the Lakers by a final score of 25-0. CSI then went on to play against the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers, where the Dolphins would once again leave their opponents on nil, with a final score of 30-0.

After Day one of the November Cup, the Dolphins would receive the #2 seed, while the Tigers of Campbellsville received the #1 seed, due to a higher point differential, as both teams came in 2-0. The bracket was set for Day two, while the #1 and #2 seeds received byes into the semifinals. CSI would draw a matchup with #3 Mercyhurst for their semifinal game and would take care of business once again, shutting out the Lakers with a final score of 20-0. Meanwhile, the Tigers would draw #5 Rutgers and would ease by them for a 33-7 win, which would set up a Championship Game of Dolphins versus Tigers.

The Dolphins would end up falling to the Tigers in a final score of 28-7, crowning the Campbellsville Tigers the November Cup Champions! The Dolphins fought hard, though they could not get over the hump of a stout Tigers' defense all tournament long. CSI Head Coach Frank Jennaco, post-game, on his thoughts of the November Cup and looking forward to the spring flag season: " The November cup was a fantastic opportunity to see where we are as a team and what we need to improve on to retain our national championship as the competition level increases each year. We had a great run and identified the areas we need to continue to work on! We will be working hard through the winter as we look to defend our title. We are thankful to the NCFFL for allowing us to get our newer players real game reps while growing as a team. "
