MEET DAY: SWIM & DIVE RETURNS TO ACTION WITH NE-10 MEET AT SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE

NEW HAVEN, CT - The College of Staten Island men's and women's swimming and diving teams will return to action for the first time in nearly two weeks as they resume Northeast-10 competition with a visit to Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU).

The Dolphins and Owls have met on both the men's and women's side during each of the last two seasons. In the closest result of the four, the Owls defeated the CSI men by a score of 135-99 last year. During that same meet, the Owls scored a 117-77 win over the CSI women. The prior year saw the SCSU men earn a 132-74 win and the SCSU women pick up a 135-73 victory. The CSI men enter today's meet with a 1-3 mark in NE-10 Competition while the women will be seeking their first conference victory against the Owls.

In their last outing, the Dolphins secured victories over both Sarah Lawrence and Mount Saint Mary College. This was followed by nearly two full weeks off ahead of today's meet, and the Dolphins will have just one more outing ahead of the new year. That will come two weeks from today as the team competes in the two-day Ranger Invitational hosted by Drew University. Having arrived near the midway point of their schedule, the Dolphins have set six new program records this season. They have also collected numerous NE-10 Weekly Awards and diver Yubal Parra earned rankings from the US PDCA in both the 1M and 3M events.
