CHAMPIONSHIP GAMEDAY: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FACES DAEMEN UNIVERSITY IN 2025 ECC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Amherst, NY - The College of Staten Island Women's Basketball Team makes their first-ever appearance in an East Coast Conference Championship game as they take on the #1 seed Daemen University Wildcats today at noon. The #2 seed Dolphins overcame deficits in the closing seconds of both regulation and overtime to survive yesterday's semifinal matchup against Mercy University and advance to the ECC Championship. During the regular season, the Dolphins lost to the Wildcats by six in both meetings, and CSI has never beaten Daemen University in the history of the program. The two teams have met nine times including one previous meeting in the postseason. That matchup came in the 2023 ECC Championship Semifinal, and the Wildcats defeated the Dolphins, 64-52.
