The College of Staten Island (CSI) Esports Overwatch 2 team competed at the 2025 East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Spring Showdown at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center on the campus of Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY on April 5 & 6, 2025 and captured second place out of twelve teams that were competing on that weekend. This was a great accomplishment for the team as they finished the event with a record of 4-2, picking up wins in Round Robin Play over St. Clair College, University of Southern Florida and the University of Delaware twice. CSI lost twice to the eventual ECAC Spring Showdown Champion SUNY Binghampton in the Upper Finals and the Grand Finals. 

The team was excited for the opportunity to compete at a LAN (Local Area Network) event for the first time this season and with their great showing at this event now turn their attention to capturing the East Coast Conference (ECC) Spring 2025 Overwatch 2 championship this weekend as they take on Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2:30pm and the upcoming CUNY Playoffs.
