WOMEN’S FLAG FOOTBALL CLUB TEAM COMPLETES SEASON UNDEFEATED, RANKED 14TH IN COUNTRY

Staten Island, NY – After the CSI Dolphins Women's Flag Football Club Team won the inaugural National Collegiate Flag Football League Championship in mid-April, they continued their season with two additional doubleheaders away from the College of Staten Island.  First, the Dolphins faced Kean University for a pair of games.  Next, the team faced the University of Delaware for two more in their season finale.

Kean, a new program set to go varsity in 2026, started their 2025 campaign with a 4-0 record before taking on the Dolphins.  CSI took a hard-fought game one, 20-0, handing Kean their first loss of the season.  In game two, CSI built a lead early and held Kean's offensive attack to just six points as they went on to win by a final score of 31-6.

The Dolphins would next play the University of Delaware, a program coming off their own championship win at the University of Maryland's Flag Football Tournament one week earlier.  UD went 3-0-1 in the UDM Flag Tournament to capture that title.  Both teams maintained their undefeated record after game one as a defensive battle ended in a 6-6 stalemate.  In game two, CSI's early lead was more than enough for their defense which, for the fifth time in their eight games played, shut out their opponent as part of a 25-0 victory.

In what was CSI's first full season as a collegiate Flag Football Program, they finished with a 7-0-1 record, a NCFFL Championship, and a ranking of 14th in the country according to womenscollegeflagfootball.com.
