BRIDGEPORT, CT – The College of Staten Island men's and women's swimming & diving teams will wrap up the 2025–26 regular season on Saturday morning with a dual meet at the Baum Family Aquatic Center against the University of Bridgeport. First dive is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
First Meeting in Program History
Saturday's contest marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Bridgeport reinstated both its men's and women's swimming & diving teams this season after a hiatus dating back to the 2018–19 academic year.
Dolphins' Top Performers
CSI enters the finale riding momentum from a dominant Senior Night performance against Brooklyn College on Wednesday, where the Dolphins captured first place in nearly every individual event and swept the relay races.
On the women's side, Maria Janecka, Polly Struck, and Maja Tomaszewska have led the Dolphins throughout the season. Michalina Bukowska has also surged in recent meets, earning first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke over the last two competitions.
For the men, Vlad Siniagovskii has anchored the backstroke events and earned a pair of individual victories in both backstroke races against Brooklyn. William Kwan has also been a consistent force for CSI, excelling in the breaststroke and butterfly events.
Team Comparison
Entering Saturday's matchup, the CSI women hold a 5–6 overall record, while the men sit at 5–5. Bridgeport's men enter the meet undefeated in dual competition at 9–0, while the Purple Knights' women carry a 4–7 record.
