STATEN ISLAND, NY – The College of Staten Island women's basketball team returns to the Tank on Tuesday evening to host Post University in a non-conference matchup. The Dolphins look to get back into the win column after a hard-fought loss to Assumption last Friday afternoon, while the Eagles enter the contest with one win through their first eight games.

Dolphins Record First-Ever Win Over Post (2024–25)
In the teams' most recent meeting on November 16, 2024, CSI earned its first-ever victory over Post, claiming a 72–68 road win in Connecticut behind a strong second-half performance. Trailing 35–24 at halftime, the Dolphins opened the third quarter on a 23–19 run to take a 54–47 lead into the final frame. CSI sealed the win with a dominant fourth quarter, scoring 25 points while shooting 80% (8-10) from the field and 67% (2-3) from three-point range. Kyra Rose finished just shy of a double-double with 15 points and eight rebounds, adding two steals, while Dana Phelan chipped in 13 points and led the team with four steals.

Kane Among ECC's Top Scorers
Racky Kane leads the Dolphins in scoring this season, averaging 12.2 points per game while shooting 48% (50-104) from the field. She currently ranks among the top 10 scorers in the East Coast Conference (ECC). Over her last three games, Kane has elevated her play, averaging 17.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest.

Rose Controls the Glass
Rose continues to be a force for CSI during the 2025–26 campaign. She ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game but leads the Dolphins on the boards with 7.8 rebounds per contest, placing her fifth in the ECC. Rose also anchors the defensive end, pacing the team with 20 steals (1.7 per game.)

Edmonds Fills the Stat Sheet
Shonyae Edmonds delivered a complete performance against Assumption on Jan. 2, recording 10 points, six rebounds, and five blocks. Her five rejections tied the program's single-game record for blocks.

Scoring Comparison
The two teams enter Tuesday's matchup with nearly identical scoring averages, as CSI is averaging 55.3 points per game while Post sits just behind at 55.1. Defensively, the Dolphins hold a significant edge, allowing just 61.9 points per contest compared to Post's 73.1.
