MEET DAY: OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD COMPETE IN FIVE EVENTS AT THE PENN RELAYS

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The College of Staten Island men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are scheduled to compete at the Penn Relays on Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia, PA. The event will be live streamed on FloTrack. 

Dolphins Competing In Five Events

The Dolphins will be competing in five events throughout the Penn Relays this weekend:

4x200m - Championship of America (2:55 PM) - Madison Jackson, Kayla Larsen, Mia Bowden and Precious Dillon
Triple Jump College Section (4:00 PM) - Adonijah Washington and Mia Bowden
4x400m - CTC Section (7:55 PM) - Alexandrea Jackson, Adriana Roa, A. Washington, Jacqueline Washington
4x200m - Championship of America - Karran Riley, Steven Elcock, Sam Whelan, and Jeremiah Downer
4x400m - CTC Section (8:45 PM) - Christopher O'Brein, Ibrahima Diallo, Elcock, and Riley


Rider Invitational Recap

The Rider Invitational featured two more records broken on the women's side with Roa notching her third record in four meets in the 1500m race (5:00.89) and the relay team of Dillon, J. Washington, A. Washington, and Bowden finished the 4x100m relay race with a record breaking time of 50.34. 

On the men's side, Joseph Ortiz set a personal best in the 100m dash (12.66), while Jehu Ermilus did the same in the 800m run (2:04.31). Water Gavilanes (4:46.16) and Pedro Astudillo (5:09.92) each posted personal bests in the 1500m run. For the women, Madison Jackson notched a personal best in the 100m dash with a time of 13.97, and Mahawa Kouyate followed with a personal-best performance in the 800m run (2:37.14).

Among the top finishes, Sam Whelan placed fifth overall in the 200m dash (22.20), while Adonijah Washington earned a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles (1:08.43). Chris Vazquez also impressed in the 400m hurdles (1:04.04), and Luca Schelling secured fourth place in the 3000m steeplechase (11:05.87). Angelina Guerriero added a sixth-place finish in the javelin (33.31m).
