Outdoor T&F Meet Day at Ursinus Springfest

MEET DAY: OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD SET TO COMPETE AT THE URSINUS SPRINGFEST

COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The College of Staten Island men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will continue their 2026 season on day two of the Ursinus Springfest, hosted by Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

This marks the Dolphins' second appearance at Ursinus, with their first coming in 2019 prior to the program's transition to Division II competition.

Meet Information
The Ursinus Springfest is a two-day event beginning Friday, April 3, though CSI will compete exclusively on Saturday, April 4. Events will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the women's discus. Saturday's schedule includes six field events and 13 track events, opening with the men's and women's 5,000-meter races and concluding with the 4x400-meter relays.

Ramapo Invitational Recap
The Dolphins opened their 2026 campaign last weekend at the Ramapo Invitational, where the team delivered a strong start highlighted by two school records on the women's side and several personal-best performances.

Angelina Guerriero set a new program record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing sixth with a time of 14:07.45. Adriana Roa also broke a school record in the 5,000 meters, finishing in 18:59.11. Additional top performances included Karran Riley, who placed seventh in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 51.63, and Adonijah Washington, who took fifth in the women's 400 meters in 1:03.63. Guerriero added to her weekend with a sixth-place finish in the javelin throw, recording a mark of 33.03 meters.

On the men's side, the distance group of Kevin Deyo, Walter Gavilanes, and Peter Galletta turned in strong efforts across the middle-distance events. Galletta led the way in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:17.48, followed by Deyo in 2:26.75. Gavilanes competed in the 1,500 meters, also recording a personal best with a time of 4:51.11.
